Refund Policy

This policy explains when and how you can get a refund for a BeRef purchase. It applies to every paid item — plan setup fees and the Founder Pilot, Studio and Agency subscriptions (monthly and annual). Solo Start is free, so there is nothing to refund.

30-day money-back guarantee

You can request a full refund of any BeRef purchase within 30 days of the order date, for any reason — as long as you have not started using it. Email beref@beref.tech (or reply to your Paddle receipt) within 30 days and we will refund the amount you paid to your original payment method. This guarantee applies to every paid item below. It is a voluntary BeRef commitment: BeRef approves and funds the refund and instructs Paddle (our Merchant of Record) to process it.

Some items give immediate access or use. If you ask us to begin, or you start using an item, before the 30 days are up, you are asking us to start performance right away: you can still cancel for a full refund any time before you start using it, but once you start using that item the voluntary guarantee no longer applies to it. Either way, your statutory rights, Paddle's Buyer Terms, and the delivery-failure refund below always continue to apply — and Paddle, as Merchant of Record, remains the final decision-maker on refunds and may still issue one at its discretion (typically within 14 days of purchase).

Who you are buying from

BeRef is operated by Ozan Ablak (Founder), established in Türkiye, trading as "BeRef". Registered address: 100. Yıl Mahallesi, Özlüce, 16120 Bursa, Türkiye. Turkish tax number (VKN): TR0020382830. Contact: beref@beref.tech. This policy and any purchase are governed by the laws of Türkiye (Turkey), without prejudice to the mandatory rights of the country where you are based.

Business / professional use

BeRef is designed and primarily sold for professional and commercial use — by founders, agencies, micro-SaaS operators and consultants acting in the course of their trade, business or profession. It is not aimed at consumers buying for personal use. Where you deal with us as a consumer, your statutory consumer rights apply in full, alongside the 30-day money-back guarantee above.

Payments & Merchant of Record

Payments are processed by Paddle, which acts as our Merchant of Record (the seller of record for the transaction). Paddle handles billing, invoicing, sales tax and VAT, and issues your receipt. As MoR, Paddle accounts for and remits VAT on our behalf, so your invoice comes from Paddle. Paddle also processes approved refunds back to your original payment method, normally within 14 days of approval. Once processed, the refund usually appears in your account within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer.

Statutory rights & Paddle's terms

Paddle is the Merchant of Recordfor your purchase, so Paddle's Buyer Terms and Refund Policy also apply, and you keep every statutory right available to you under the law where you are based — including any distance-selling right of withdrawal (for example the EU's 14-day right under the Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU, the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, and Türkiye's Distance Contracts Regulation under Consumer Protection Law No. 6502) where it applies. For digital content and digital services that you choose to start using immediately, the law lets that withdrawal right be waived once performance begins with your express consent and your acknowledgement that you will lose it (EU Consumer Rights Directive Art. 16(m) and the corresponding Türkiye exemption); at checkout you give that consent for any item you start using right away. Nothing in this policy limits, removes or shortens those rights. Our 30-day money-back guarantee above is offered voluntarily and in addition to them; where any statutory right or Paddle term is more generous, that more generous right applies.

Delivery-failure refund

We only charge for what we can deliver, and what is included at purchase is stated at checkout. If we are unable to deliver the core functionality of the plan you purchased, you are entitled, as your sole and exclusive remedy for that, to a refund of the amounts you paid for the part we could not deliver. We calculate that amount on a fair pro-rata basis — by reference to what was actually delivered versus what you paid for — and if you disagree with our calculation you can dispute it. This delivery-failure refund commitment is in addition to, and does not limit, your statutory rights, which always continue to apply.

Refunds by plan

Solo Start (free)

Solo Start is free — no card and no deposit, so there is nothing to refund. You only pay if you choose to upgrade to a paid plan, which is covered by the terms below.

Setup fees (Studio & Agency, monthly plans only)

Setup / onboarding fees apply to the monthly Studio (one-time $299) and Agency (one-time $499) plans only — they are waived on annual plans. The setup fee is covered by the 30-day money-back guaranteeabove: request a refund within 30 days of the order date and we will refund it in full. If onboarding has been fully completed before you ask, any refund of the setup fee after that point is at our discretion, and we will still honour anything the law or Paddle's terms require.

Founder Pilot, Studio & Agency — monthly subscriptions

You can cancel at any time, and cancelling stops all future charges while keeping your access until the end of the current paid period. The first month of a new monthly subscription is covered by the 30-day money-back guaranteeabove — request a refund within 30 days of that charge and we will refund it in full. We do not charge for any period after you cancel. Renewal charges for later months are not automatically refunded once that month has been used, but you can cancel before each renewal to avoid them, and statutory rights and Paddle's terms still apply.

Founder Pilot, Studio & Agency — annual subscriptions

Annual plans are covered by the 30-day money-back guaranteeabove: request a refund within 30 days of purchase and we will refund the annual fee in full. Cancelling stops the next renewal, and your access continues until the end of the paid term. Renewals are charged automatically — cancel before the renewal date to avoid them. After the 30 days, any refund is at our discretion (and Paddle's), and we will still honour any refund the law or Paddle's terms require, such as a renewal cooling-off right where one applies.

Team (custom)

Team plans are arranged individually; refund and cancellation terms are set out in the order agreed with you, and your statutory rights and Paddle's Buyer Terms continue to apply.

How to request a refund

Email beref@beref.tech with the order or Paddle receipt number from the receipt Paddle emailed you, and the reason for the request. We aim to respond within 3 business days. Because Paddle is the Merchant of Record, any approved refund is issued by Paddle to your original payment method; you can also reply to the Paddle receipt email to reach their support.

Chargebacks

If something is wrong, please contact us first — we can usually resolve it faster than a bank dispute. Filing a chargeback without contacting us may suspend access while Paddle reviews the case.

Changes

We may update this policy; the version in effect at the time of your purchase governs that purchase. See also our Terms, Privacy Policy and Impressum.
